Dental needs give kids and their parents a reason to have to come to the dentist. Stagecoach Children’s Dental Center gives kids and their parents a reason to want to come to the dental office. Our fun and friendly environment makes a dental appointment an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

When it comes to maintaining great oral health for kids, Stagecoach Children’s Dental Center is the dental office to visit. Our Magnolia dentist office provides excellent pediatric dentistry to children and teenagers in and around Magnolia, including the Tomball and Cypress areas. Here are some of the pediatric dental services our office provides:

Dental Cleaning

Dental Cleaning

Our pediatric dentist always encourages kids to keep their teeth clean through brushing twice per day, flossing daily, and rinsing. But that isn’t always enough, which is why it is highly recommended for kids to receive a dental cleaning every six months. A dental cleaning removes hardened plaque and finishes with a nice easy polish. The most important aspect of a dental cleaning is that it enables our kids dentist to check for oral problems, like cavities, chipped teeth, or gum disease. Most of these problems can be quickly addressed the same day or in a follow-up appointment.
Dental Filling

Dental Filling

If a cavity is found or a tooth or some teeth have chips or breaks, it may be recommended to receive a dental filling. A dental filling is typically the best method to taking care of a cavity or chip. Our dental fillings are tooth-colored so the filling will match the existing tooth, which ensures teeth always look natural. This simple procedure is one of the most common and important dental services provided to our young patients. A dental filling is designed to stop the spread of cavities and strengthen teeth that have been chipped or broken.
Dental Crown

Dental Crown

A dental crown is typically needed because the tooth has suffered too much decay or has been extremely damaged due to a break. The tooth has the cavity removed and is then shaped to fit a crown. The dental crown at Stagecoach Children's Dental Center is made of stainless steel and provides the strength and durability every child needs from their teeth. A crown is long-lasting and enables the existing tooth to resume normal oral function.

Root Canal

Root Canal

Our kids dental office in Magnolia works hard to save every tooth, if possible. Our dentist understands the importance of retaining the original teeth. One of the methods of saving a tooth is through a root canal. A root canal is utilized when tooth decay has reached the nerve of the tooth. This decay can cause an infection and must be cleaned out. Once the decay and the infected nerve is removed, the area is medicated and filled with a filling. Once this is complete, the tooth typically receives a dental cap to protect the existing tooth.
Tooth Extraction

Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction may be necessary for various reasons. Although we always try to save every tooth, sometimes the decay is very deep or the tooth is infected. In those instances, extraction of the tooth is the only option. We will make certain that your child is comfortable during this short procedure. Also, our pediatric dentist always informs the patient and their parent of why a tooth extraction may be necessary.

Sedation

Sedation

As fun and friendly as our staff is and as enjoyable as we have made our dental office, it doesn’t change the fact that kids are often nervous about going to the dentist. For this reason, we offer a few sedation options to our pediatric patients. Sedation is used to help our patients relax. At our Magnolia dentist office, we provide nitrous/oxide sedation, also known as laughing gas, as well as conscious sedation, which may cause them to become drowsy or fall asleep, yet remain conscious. Our primary goal in using this dental technique is to make certain that the child is comfortable, and when the child is comfortable, then the parent is often at ease.
